A New Home with Literally Stories: Writer's Journey

Hey, hey! Exciting news dropped in my email box. The kind of news that changes one's mood from ordinary to feeling bubbly and happy inside, much like a bottle of Dom Perignon. Yes, it's celebration time!
I'm delighted to share that the editors from Literally Stories selected my work, Once Bitten, for publication---coming this winter. Already, they launched my author's page. Check it out here: https://literallystories2014.com/coloman-renee/
Literally Stories is a platform filled with short stories created for writers by writers with the goal of showcasing a wide spectrum of short story fiction from emerging writers to more seasoned authors. Their first story was published in November of 2014, and it's been running strong for over a decade. It's the kind of community-spirited platform where writers can share thoughts, ask questions, and get published---We encourage constructive feedback and author interaction. As such, all published stories are open to comment.
Keep in mind, they publish the best in what they receive. When you submit, take your time to polish as best you can. I re-wrote Once Bitten over a two-month period, questioning the purpose of each word, sentence, paragraph; meticulously eyeing the stories structure, syntax, character motivation, theme, and ending. I used the two months to give the story time to breathe, to walk hand-in-hand with me. It worked. And now the story will publish on Literally Stories wonderful platform. I'll make sure to share the link once it's up.
