Indie authors have a magical way of building community spirit and connecting with new friends, whether they love books, art, music, food and, really, any of the special treats that life offers.
I gain tremendous pleasure capturing memorable moments chatting with new friends who stop by my booth, ask about my books, my writing process, and me. But most of all, the gift I receive is their friendship and hearing more about their creative spirit, the joys and challenges in their life, and their journey achieving their wildest dreams. Community spirit is the shining light in my heart.

This month in August, there's plenty to experience, including city-sponsored artwalks, local brewery-hosted events (yes, book clubs, poetry readings, and open mic nights), local indie store gatherings (crafting, junk journaling, women supporting women, author signings, and more), as well as incredible events hosted by your libraries. Don't miss the OC Zine Fest at the Anaheim Central Library on Saturday, August 15. It'll be an explosion of creativity that will leave you inspired to open your heart and create your very own masterpiece!
Stay motivated & inspired to keep writing, journaling, painting, drawing, zine-ing, and creating. Your work will make a positive difference in life!
Take care, friends!
Renee
