Born of Dirt & Dust - From Print to Kindle: Reaching More Readers

In the early days when Kindle first launched, promising an experience that offered a portable and personalized library of digital books at your fingertips, I thought ha! No way. Not for me. I’m a forever fan of physical books, admiring the texture and tactile experience of immersing myself into every written word across every page of every book I could cradle in the palm of my hands.
Well, that was nearly 20 years ago. Today, I indulge in multi-media experiences that include Kindle books, audio books, streaming & cinema-released adaptations of books, as well as physical copies that tower inside multiple rooms of my home.

That’s right. I’m a modern girl with contemporary and futuristic ideas that will move me through all of space and time. No matter that I cling to old typewriters, cameras, tape recorders, dusty bookshelves, Atari games, VHS tapes, 8-tracks, and cellular phones from the 90s shaped like oversized walkie-talkies. I’m sure Hollywood prop hunters would be ecstatic rummaging through my garage boxes and attic hideaways.
With one foot in the past and one foot in the future, I straddle decisions about beneficial ways to increase visibility of my recent book, Born of Dirt & Dust. Keep in mind I'm an independent author who isn't backed by a corporate publishing house. This means, I'm challenged with distribution limitations. However ...
